Bio

Loren’s professional life has included over 20-years of photo editing and production for national magazines and Fortune 500 companies, television and film work, as well as serving as the East River Advocate for the Municipal Art Society. There she collaborated with community groups along the river and ran a two-year campaign promoting awareness on development, access and environmental issues. She co-produced a film about waterfront access entitled City of Water, which appeared on PBS and in film festivals around the country. In 2006, she co-founded Local Labels, an e-commerce site that sold specialty foods and gifts made in New York City. She currently works at The Week magazine as the photo editor and real estate writer. She sits on the Board of Managers of Oakwood Friend's School, and likes to send handwritten notes to friends who forget they have mailboxes.
